Vitacek Eugen in Moscow 1939 A beautifully preserved example of this outstanding Czech maker. He spent most of his adult life in Moscow, died 1946. He is popularly known as a Russian Stradivari. This violin has an outstanding and powerful sound and is suitable for solo work. Similar instrument to this, only a Stradivari model, is featured in the recently published book of the entire Russian state collection of which he was a founder and curator.
