We are proud to offer this rare and important viola made by Joannes Baptista Guadagnini in Piacenza c 1747, bearing the makers original label. The back is of an attractive one piece maple cut on the slab with ribs to match. The table is of strong medium even grain. This viola is in an excellent state of preservation and it has a beautiful deep velvety and sonorous sound suitable for any discerning soloist and/or a chamber musician. It is a very comfortable instrument to play with the length of back being 40cm. Must be tried at earliest opportunity.
